Protect it!
I'm not a health expert by any means. But I try my best to watch what I eat, and stay healthy in any way that I can. Seeing this article from WebMD just re-affirms my core-belief: no one is going to take care of you better than you. In this technology driven world that we've created, it's too easy to slip into a sedentary lifestyle. Instead of a car or subway, walk where you can. Get up and walk around your workplace from time to time. Start your day with exercise. Know what's in the food that you're eating.
Sure, this takes a bit more work, but the benefits are tremendous. From the previous article cited, to lower blood pressure, a better disposition and more, the results are telling. I'm a little envious of anyone who has the opportunity to combine health and exercise with what they do for a living - athletes, construction workers, dancers, etc. This is all an expansion of my original post about health.
Not everyone wants or needs to be a body builder, but for anyone who can spend hours on end behind a desk, get out! Take a walk and see what's around. That's great exercise for the body and the mind.
