Yes, you're a vendor of anti-virus and security solutions, and people need to have some fear in them to purchase your product, OK. And, no, the Mac isn't 100% "secure" - no computer OS really is. But this?
Yes, if you go download apps from untrusted sources and run anything that any website tells you, you're going to get in trouble. However, this is an issue of ignorance, not technology.
So please: don't believe the hype.
